Craig Grady

Insight & Engagement Officer, Disrupting Exploitation Programme
The Children’s Society

I am currently working as an Insight & Engagement officer for the Disrupting Exploitation team in Greater Manchester and am also currently involved in a programme looking at how to employ Systems Change thinking into the social care sector.

I am currently working on how to better recognise, record and respond to the signs of criminal exploitation in order to create better processes for the effective safeguarding of those young people either ‘at risk of’ or currently being ‘criminally exploited’.

I have been at the Children’s Society for nearly five years. I have previously worked in Children’s Rights Advocacy and have also worked closely with Manchester Local Authority & Safeguarding Hubs on the Missing from Home team- Safe in the City.

I have also worked on several pilot projects around safeguarding of young people online; supporting Care Leavers in the North West and Outreach projects in Manchester City Centre.
