James Robinson is a highly experienced computing educator, trainer and expert in learning design, with a background in Computer Science and 10 years of classroom experience teaching a range of STEM subjects.
As a Senior Learning Manager for in person training and Pedagogy, James has supported hundreds of educators to develop their confidence and skills. These people have gone on to support and enthuse thousands of students around the world. James currently works promoting effective computing Pedagogy through newsletters, summaries and the “Teach Computing” podcast, as part of the National Centre for Computing Education.
Throughout his teaching and training career James has developed a rich understanding of effective pedagogy and engaging approaches to teaching Computer Science as a creative discipline. He has delivered sessions with educators and students alike ranging from composing with code to creating motion with motors. His students have created masterpieces in minecraft and even surveyed the edge of space, all with Computer Science.
