Toby works in Nesta’s education team to help our education system make better use of technology and data.
His work aims to help schools and colleges benefit from new ways of working, through grant-funding, research and some more experimental programmes.
Toby’s recent publications include ‘Educ-AI-tion Rebooted? Exploring the future of AI in schools and colleges’, ‘The EdTech Effect: Lessons from nine examples around the world’, and ‘What next for digital social innovation?’.
He is also a founder member of Sleuth, a co-operative data consultancy. Before Nesta he worked for a consultancy looking at transport policy.
