What’s New?

This year we are delighted to bring 6 brand new feature to the Schools and Academies Show Birmingham.

The Schools & Academies Show is back again this year to deliver one of the largest education events in the UK. Over the two-day event, taking place on the 13-14 November at the NEC in Birmingham, we will present senior government speakers and association leaders from across the sector, as well as 50 hours of free CPD-certified seminar content for those at the forefront of education.

Our leading free to attend* two-day education policy and best practice event is designed to support school business management for school and MAT leaders, headteachers, heads of department, business managers, network managers, facilities managers and specialised procurement managers.

This year we will reveal several brand-new features including the MAT Matchmaking Zone, the Wellbeing Demonstration Area and a new and improved Government Education Village. Scroll down to get more information on each new feature:

MATs Matchmaking Area

The newly launched MAT Matchmaking Area; sponsored by ParentPay, will provide visitors with a dedicated area on the exhibition floor to take part in in-depth roundtable discussions around the biggest topics affecting MATs across the UK. Pre-registered visitors will need to register pre-event from a select number of sessions available throughout the two days of the show.

Wellbeing Demonstration Area

The Wellbeing Demonstration Area focuses on one of the biggest challenges facing schools; the wellbeing of their staff and pupils. This exciting addition to the show will allow visitors to take part in live demonstrations of yoga, mindfulness, healthy eating and general wellbeing. By taking part in this area, visitors can leave with tips and techniques that they can implement back in their school.

The Charity Village

The Charity Village will provide registered charities with an opportunity to take part in the exhibition floor and network with all of the Head Teachers, School Business Managers, Governors, Finance Directors, Deputy Heads and wider education leaders who attend the show. This interactive village of key organisations will provide the perfect opportunity for third sector organisations to showcase their work.

Leaders Town Hall

In exactly one month from now, the UK will go to the polls and give the politicians their verdict in what has been described as the ‘Brexit Election’. But what if it was the ‘Education Election’?…

Join us at the Leaders’ Town Hall where we will collect the main parties’ policies and break them down for you in a digestible way. Discuss with your peers the solutions to the challenges facing the education sector today in a lively and collaborative setting.

The National Schools Awards

The inaugural National Schools Awards is brought to you by the Institute of School Business Leadership (ISBL) and the Schools & Academies Show and will take place on the evening of 13th November at the NEC in Birmingham. The National Schools Awards will consist of six awards, designed to recognise and reward school leaders and schools for their fantastic work across the sector.

Network Manager Hub

After last April DfE’s EdTech strategy launch at the Schools and Academies Show, the event has renewed its focus on technology. In an effort to present our visitors with relevant and affordable, pedagogy-backed solutions and case studies, assisting leaders in finding the right approach to implementing EdTech and tech management solutions, we have partnered with the Association of Network Managers in Education (ANME) to enrich the show’s experience.
